Humanitarian: Film4Climate

Exploring the climate change-based scenario is a frank discussion on how to collaborate and innovate in the industry that is moving forward.

Climate change is the most urgent and decisive crisis of our time.

But what is its direct impact on human lives?

Over the last decade, environmental issues such as climate change have occupied a significant space in the narratives of young filmmakers, creating films of all kinds (animation, documentaries, fiction) showing that it is possible even in the most remote corners of the planet to take action on climate change.

Environmental issues are de facto involved with the politics and reasons of globalization and such narratives are increasingly networked, linked and homogenized, multiplied and diversified.

Narratives are powerful tools that shape the sociocultural framework of environmental change, influence policy making, inform and mobilize the public to a significant extent.

Short films and up-and-coming young filmmakers can directly involve climate activism with the power of youth. To approach the "climate change" that initially seems as a scary, uncertain, ominous, immaterial, gigantic subject with different approaches and in different kinds and the result to pose questions and be an excellent starting point for change.

The climate crisis is also a humanitarian crisis.
