Daniel Soares is a German-born Portuguese screenwriter and director. His short films premiered at festivals such as Cannes, Telluride, Locarno, Clermont-Ferrand, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Winterthur, Seminci and Cairo. They were recognized at festivals such as Cannes (Palme d'Or Short Film - Special Mention), Premiers Plans d'Angers (Grand Jury Prize), IndieLisboa (Best National Short Film), Zagreb Film Festival (Best International Short Film), among others. In parallel, his photographic work has been exhibited in museums and galleries such as the International Center of Photography in New York. ( soares.tv )

Charlotte Chen-Louis

Charlotte Chen-Louis is a French and Taiwanese filmmaker born and raised in Hong Kong. She began her career as an art director before going on to direct commercial projects for international brands. She directed her first short film, Montanea (2023), starring Denis Lavant, which went on to screen at various international festivals. Rooted in both her cultures, her work explores questions of memory and identity, tracing the line between the intimate and the cosmic. Charlotte is currently writing her first feature film in residency at La Fémis.

Kevin Mavakala

Born in Kinshasa, graduate of the National Institute of the Arts (INA) with a degree in theater arts (film track), CEO of Pole Corporation a film production and distribution company, President of the Ciné na biso association, which organizes the Kinshasa International Film Festival (FICKIN), founder of the Kin-ciné workshops, winner of the Final Cut program at the 80th Venice International Film Festival, winner of the Chabaka program at the 36th Carthage Film Festival, winner of the Takmil program at the 33rd edition of the Carthage Film Festival, Kevin MAVAKALA is a writer-director with four films to his credit, including Les devoirs (2018), Afrika kids (2018), La Boulette (2019), and La Star, which was selected for the Short Film Corner at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. Kevin is currently in post-production on two films: “Jamais sans mon stylo,” a short film, and “Life Is a Railroad ” a feature film.
