What is Women in Architecture?

Women in Architecture is a documentary series designed to amplify the voices of women in a field traditionally dominated by men. Launched by Sky-Frame, directed by Boris Noir, the initiative celebrates female contributions to architecture while igniting conversations about diversity and inclusivity.

Sky-Frame is characterised by its empathic ability to take on different perspectives and points of view. She is interested in people and their visions, whether in architecture or in a social context. She is deeply interested in creating living spaces and in doing so also questions the role of women in architecture. From the arts to the sciences, women shape our society. I want to shed more light on this role, increase the visibility of women in architecture and encourage them to reach their full potential.

Women account for 70 per cent of the students at the universities of architecture around the world – a substantial predominance that is not at all reflected in later professional life. The films “Women in Architecture” was made while exploring the reasons for as well as solutions to this state of affairs.
"Our goal is to present these authentic experiences in an engaging manner, transforming architecture into a topic that resonates widely. By highlighting the struggles women face in various fields, we cultivate empathy and inspire the next generation to pursue their passions fearlessly.
In a media landscape often filled with distortion, we commit to capturing real stories with emotional depth, making architecture a vital part of popular culture. Through this film, we aspire to ignite the spark of talent in young people, encouraging them to believe that reaching for the stars is not just a dream but a possibility."
