In the center of Pounta Square in Chora, is the Primary School of Folegandros. It is housed in a building from the early 20th century.

The courtyard of an old elementary school is quietly transformed each evening into a living cinematic space — not merely a site for screenings, but a setting for shared experience.

With the sound of waves in the background and the soft glow of lanterns overhead, films take on new meaning, unfolding in a space where memory, tenderness, and collective anticipation converge. This is not just about cinema. It is an invitation to gather — where the place, the stories, and the people speak the same language: gentle, essential, deeply human.

PANTANASSA SQUARE at the Castle

Within the fortified courtyards of the Castle, where centuries merge with the silence of the stone walls, Pantanassa Square reveals its own, almost mystical sanctuary.

In this protected setting, the Psaroloco section is hosted for a single, exclusive screening. A carefully selected collection of short films, designed entirely for children aged 4 to 6, arrives to transform the square. It is an invitation for the youngest viewers to live their very first cinematic experience within the oldest, living heart of the island.
